Use of MCIBD post-nominals

As a member of the CIBD, you have the right to use the post-nominal CIBD. The post-nominals represent a commitment to the highest standard of technical knowledge and code of conduct within the industry, and will help you stand out as you progress in your profession. 

Requirements

  • Relevant university degrees and working in brewing or distilling
        • or 
  • hold the Diploma qualification of the CIBD and have at least one year’s experience of working in the industry
        • or
  • hold the Certificate qualification of the CIBD and have at least three years’ experience of working in the industry
        • or 
  • Have five years of relevant experience in the industry.

Conditions

  • You will need to undertake continuing professional development (CPD). Find more here.
  • You will be required to abide by the Institute’s Code of Professional Conduct and undertake to co-operate with the Institute’s disciplinary enquiry if a complaint is laid against you.
