Join us for The Great Northern Section’s first webinar of 2026, exploring the use of advanced hop products in brewing.
- Craig Thomas, Abstrax Hops - introducing Abstrax’s advanced hop products and their application within the brewery
- Will Longmate, BarthHaas - outlining advanced hop products such as Incognito, Spectrum and Prysma, and their different uses
- Ryan Shore, Camerons Brewery - sharing practical insight into application of different products and how they can benefit the brewery, with a focus on low-alcohol products

Speakers
- Craig Thomas - Abstrax Hops, Technical Sales Manager
Craig began brewing in Edinburgh, Scotland before attending Heriot-Watt University and graduating with a Master of Science in Brewing and Distilling. He then joined Cara Technology, a leading sensory consultancy company and manufacturer of AROXA flavour standards, where he provided technical support and taster training services to companies around the globe. In 2017 moved to California to brew at Firestone Walker Brewing Company, eventually moving into the quality lab to manage the brewery's sensory program. Craig joined Abstrax Hops in 2023 in order to bring impactful and innovative solutions to brewers around the world. He is a Master Cicerone®, a tenured GABF and WBC judge, and an active member of the Brewers Association's Draught Beer Quality Subcommittee and the American Society of Brewing Chemist's Sensory Subcommittee

- Ryan Shore – Camerons Brewery
Began his brewing career at Newcastle University where he was part of the team that started the University ran Stew Brew. Graduating with a Bachelors in Chemistry moving into the labs at Camerons Brewery and working his way through production and technical roles now as Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Manager.
