CIBD launches new North American Section
The CIBD is pleased to announce the launch of a new North American Section out of the existing International Section, covering members based in Canada and the United States.
Approved by the CIBD Board of Trustees, the new Section has been established to support greater local engagement across North America and create more opportunities for members to connect and learn.
We are now looking for volunteer CIBD members based in Canada or the United States to help shape the new Section committee. This includes the officer roles of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as committee member positions.
Members interested in volunteering should email customer.support@cibd.org.uk by midnight on Sunday 6 July, indicating which role they are interested in. Members applying for an officer position should also include a short one-paragraph bio. The three officer positions will be subject to an online vote by members in the new Section and will need to be ratified by members at the first Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The first AGM will take place on Monday 17 August 2026 in Seattle during the 2026 ASBC & CIBD Meeting, with more details to follow.
If you wish to be a member of the new Section you will need to log in to your MyCIBD account, click on your username at the top right then "My details") and select the North American Section as your home section.
